Today marks 450 years since the death of painter and sculpture Michelangelo. To celebrate the occasion, Cake Angels artist Michelle Wibowo has created a full-sized version of ’The Creation Of Adam’ made entirely from confectionery.
Built on top of plywood, the sugary masterpiece took over 168 hours to create and uses over 10,000 marshmallows and delicately placed by hand.
The cake will be on display at London’s St Pancras Church throughout Michelangelo’s anniversary celebrations.
Gives the frame its character and provides the perfect setting for an artwork to be fully enjoyed.
Protects the artwork from dust and wilting so that it can be admired for many years.
Adds depth to an image and works with the moulding to enhance and protect the artwork.
Bonds to the artwork ensuring it is perfectly smooth and holds the whole frame together.
The artwork is carefully mounted in preparation for framing.
