Today’s post is a little different than my usual décor posts because I’ve made a discovery that’s I’m bursting to share with you! While shopping for fun photography accessories, I learned about bokeh. Bokeh is a photography technique whereby you place a cut-out over your lens, and light in the out-of-focus areas takes on the shape of your cut-out (highly simplified explanation from a non-expert). There are some amazing pins of how bokeh can be used here.
This is so much more fun than your usual blurry picture backgrounds! Take a look at these beautiful examples where background lights become glowing hearts and orbs!
Gives the frame its character and provides the perfect setting for an artwork to be fully enjoyed.
Protects the artwork from dust and wilting so that it can be admired for many years.
Adds depth to an image and works with the moulding to enhance and protect the artwork.
Bonds to the artwork ensuring it is perfectly smooth and holds the whole frame together.
The artwork is carefully mounted in preparation for framing.
