Fashion Goes Pre-Raphaelite for A/W12

Events and Exhibitions, General, Inspiration, Trends

The Pre-Raphaelite exhibition opens today at Tate Britain and the fashion industry has not missed a beat! It would seem that the Pre-Raphaelite muses have inspired designers this season, with influences apparent in the collections from Valentino, Marchesa and more!

As if this gorgeous Telegraph spread wasn’t enough to convince me of the idea, the Stylist featured a write-up on the trend in their Autumn/Winter issue today.

Obviously, a literal interpretation of this look could be quite conservative, but having a look at a few of this season’s pieces, I think the classic silhouettes could be a welcome addition to most women’s closets.

The Tate Britain exhibition, Pre-Raphaelites: Victorian Avante-Garde, runs from today through January 13th. Please let me know if you go and find yourself reassessing your wardrobe!
