Great Gatsby Inspiration: Art Deco and 1920s Style

Posted by Ferren, 20 July 2012

There are many ways to interpret the art deco style. You could go for structural designs and vintage ads, or you can go for fashion illustrations like these. What I like about these images is that they’re understated and elegant. They don’t hit you in the face with the Great Gatsby trend, but they evoke the glamorous era all the same.

The room above shows back and white examples that have a photographic quality, but I think that with the bright colours on the bed, some of the colour illustrations I have below would have really popped.

What do you think? Could you go for this look in your bedroom?
