Ombré Art– It’s not just for hair colours!

General, Inspiration, Trends

I’ve seen ombré hair, nails, food and furniture… The only thing missing is art! This beautiful design is perfect for art because it’s inherently a painterly idea. If you wondering exactly what ombré means, it’s essentially gradation in colour. Sometime this is very subtle like shading and sometimes it’s tiered like a cake… a very colourful, delicious cake.

Joseph Albers‘ square paintings are a brilliant example of the ombré art and work well not to overpower any other styling in the room. And it doesn’t just have to be berry tones– look at this print that would work well in this kid’s room!
