Though I don’t write about fashion very often on this blog, I love it a lot. I’ve literally been involved in fashion in some way or another since I was 3 yrs old. I also love art (perhaps a little more obvious from this blog), so when art and fashion mix, I do my happy dance.
I came across the Autumn/Winter 2012 Karla Spetic collection recently and was really excited to see how the Australian designer incorporated the Pop Art influences from Lichtenstein into her garments. I love it. She’s not the first designer to have a thought like this and she hopefully won’t be the last. Below are a few designs that remind me of some famous paintings you may love and recognise.
Gives the frame its character and provides the perfect setting for an artwork to be fully enjoyed.
Protects the artwork from dust and wilting so that it can be admired for many years.
Adds depth to an image and works with the moulding to enhance and protect the artwork.
Bonds to the artwork ensuring it is perfectly smooth and holds the whole frame together.
The artwork is carefully mounted in preparation for framing.
