Picasso Line Drawings

General, Inspiration

You may recall us mentioning the Picasso Exhibition that will be opening at the Tate this Wednesday. Well, all that talk about Picasso inspired me to do a little exploring of his works and I’ve come across some beautiful line drawings! This isn’t necessarily the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Picasso, but that adds to their charm. These simple drawings are really striking and, as you can see, they look really nice on a wall of black and white prints.

"Head Of A Woman" (main image), "La sauterelle, 1907" (top right), "Le pingouin, 1907" (bottom right) by Pablo Picasso

In the spirit of the Tate exhibition, I thought I would show another modern artist with works a bit similar to these…

Below is a beautiful Matisse print that I think would hang nicely with any of the Picasso drawings.
