Bauhaus Art Prints and Posters

Existing from 1919 to 1933 the Bauhaus school came to represent a variety of new currents in art, architecture and design - as new forms of expression flourished in post-war Europe. Thus in the works of Klee and Kandinsky, both of whom taught at the school, we see the emergence of a style in which form is abstracted and colour used to expressive effect. Despite the brief life of the school, which shut itself down under pressure from the Nazis, its influence continued as those connected with the school spread its ideas around the globe. Our range of prints captures this exciting moment in which existing barriers broke down and artists redefined what was possible in their newfound freedom.
