    About This Print

This was originally an illustration for The Guardian Sport, to accompany an article by Frank Keating which mourned the passing of legendary Llanelli and Wales centre Ray Gravell. Gravell played in the great Wales team of the 1970s 23 caps that also included Gareth Edwards, JPR Williams, JJ Williams, Mervyn Davies and Gerald Davies. The text at the top of the illustration y filltir sgwar refers to a quote Keating takes from Gerald Davies's eulogy of Gravell in The Times: He was a man, as they say in Wales, of 'y filltir sgwar' the familiar square mile of the local community; for all his travelling, he never left his home.

Expertly made in England by Easyart, this quality giclée print is produced using museum standard materials, providing rich, vibrant colours.
