Tarja Stegars is a recently retired MD and an artist. She has been doing art work since the age of three being taught and guided by her father Rolf Stegars, the renowned chief scenic designer of the Finnish National Theatre in Helsinki, Finland.
Tarjas main motifs are horses portrayed in portraits or as colorfull beings of fantasy painted in different techniques and media. Tarja wishes her horses to be free of all human restrictions such as saddle or other tack. They are subjects of the paintings in their own right.
Tarja has now added portraits of other animals and their owners to her interests.
