Sir John Soane's Museum

The inspirational home of the great neoclassical architect, Sir John Soane at No.13 Lincoln’s Inn Fields has been a public museum since his death in 1837. London’s most unexpected interior has been preserved in the state in which it was left at the time of his death and reflects Soane’s architectural ingenuity and extraordinary imagination.

As well as a home, his property was used for teaching, as a workshop and most importantly, as a place to evolve his architectural ideas. There Soane amassed a world famous collection of art which he referred to as ‘studies for my mind’. With sculptures, paintings and architectural drawings, the works collected by Soane truly embody the union of the arts.

This impressive collection of art prints features renowned works by Hogarth, Canaletto, Turner and Piranesi from Sir John Soane’s personal collection, as well as stunning photographs of the museum itself.
