As a British fine art photographer specialising in black & white images of London, Niki Gorick has established a reputation for capturing the true character of the city, from its famous landmarks to its vibrant street-life. Fascinated by the shifting patterns of London's cityscape, with its mood changes and strange juxtapositions, she loves the city's unique mix of enduring ritual and modern-day invention. From her early experience as a theatre photographer, she has the unerring ability to catch the moment, that one defining moment, when all the elements come together to convey the essence of a whole city.
Trained at the Montreal School of Photography, her passion for creating images led to a career spanning theatre photography, journalism, television camerawork and scriptwriting, as well as to living in the USA, Canada, Hong Kong and Scotland, before returning to chronicle her native capital city.
Niki's photographs are in both private and corporate collections, including those of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Sir Terence Conran, Grosvenor House Hotel, P&O Cruises, the Intercontinental Park Lane and the Royal Garden Hotel Kensington. Her images are also sold as cards through many leading retail outlets.
