Marion McConaghie grew up near the coast of rural Northern Ireland. She came over to the UK to study art, gaining a First Class degree in Fine Art Painting. Marion has since worked commercially as a graphic designer and artist. Marion paints, photographs and uses digital retouching techniques to produce a wide range of images. She has limited edition prints in galleries, and her artwork appears in various independent retail outlets. Marion spends a great deal of time scouring antique shops and similar outlets, researching and sourcing objects, books, curiosities and so on to gain inspiration for her work. Much of it has a vintage theme and she loves things affected by natural ageing processes. She echoes this in the images she makes. Read more about Marion and get a glimpse inside her studio here.
