Marcus Goldson was born in kenya in 1969. He completed an art degree at Winchester School of Art in Hampshire gaining a first class honours degree in sculpture and art history.After university he worked in london and started to work in watercolours after being inspired by the paintings of David Roberts and Winslow Homer and the high cost of producing steel sculpture!
In 1993 he moved to Budapest, Hungary and started developing his paintingillustrations as well as using his sculpting experience to design and build sets for theatres in Budapest.He works mainly in watercolour, using a variety of styles for a variety of subject matter. He has travelled widely and has had exhibitions in many countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt,Hungary, Croatia, France and the UK. Apart from selling his own work he also provides illustrations for publications such as Cosmopolitan, Playboy, Timeout, For Him Magazine and other publications in Hungary, Egypt, and the UK.
