Born in 1970, James trained at Leicester Polytechnic. He has since collected several notable awards, including Singer Friedlander, the Sir Peter Scott Award and the Royal Society of Marine Artists' Charles Pears Award. He exhibits regularly with the Society of Wildlife Artists and the Manchester Academy. James works full-time from his studio in Lancashire, and as a travel illustrator has worked with the Sunday Times, BBC Holidays and the British Tourist Authority.
