Jack Morrocco was born in Edinburgh in 1953 and trained at Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art between 1970 and 1974. After completing his education, he became a Founder Member of the Dundee Group of Artists and worked as a freelance illustrator, before forming his own highly successful design consultancy firm.
Jack Morrocco comes from an eminent artistic dynasty and is a nephew of the late Alberto Morrocco, OBE, RSA. Jack Morrocco shares many influences with his famous uncle, but retains the ability to impart his own individual style. The strong design elements and pure bold colour of his still-life subjects also owe a great deal to the Scottish colourists and, perhaps, to the influence of his design consultancy career.
Jack Morrocco exhibits his distinctive still life and figurative work at major galleries in London and Scotland. He is a regular exhibitor at the Royal Scottish Academy and at the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Art, and his work has also been exhibited in New York.
