    About This Print

This high quality print is based on a hand-coloured engraved plate entitled 'Ixia maculata' by Henry Andrews from 'The Botanist's Repository, for New, and Rare Plants' published by Andrews between 1797-1812. Andrews was a botanical artist and engraver living in Knightsbridge, London. His published works also include books on Heaths and Geraniums. He was the son-in-law of John Kennedy (1759-1842) a partner at the Vineyard Nursery in Hammersmith who supplied plants to Empress Josephine.

Expertly made in England by Easyart, this quality giclée print is produced using museum standard materials, providing rich, vibrant colours.
