    About This Print

This lithographic poster originates from the archives of the Parisian printing studio, Atelier Mourlot. The studio grew to fame in the early twentieth century for reviving traditional limestone lithography by collaborating with contemporary artists of the time, including Braque, Picasso and Matisse.

This rare, limited edition poster was commissioned by the French Tourist Office to promote tourism in Nice. Printed by Mourlot in 1965 on Arches paper, the poster features a reproduction of an original 1950 gouache and paper découpé 'La Danseuse Créole' which features in Tate Modern's 2014 exhibition of Matisse's cut-outs. Very limited number available.
