Born in Vibo Valentia in 1979, Fortunato Gatto has lived on the coast of North Ayrshire in Scotland since 2007, where he worked in the IT industry for IBM. His portfolio is rich with the wonderful scenery of the Scottish moors with its varying weather, seasonal changes and fascination with the light and drama of the landscape.
His passion for the Scottish landscape extends to the naming of his children Skye and Harris after the islands he loves best.
Beyond his adopted home, he has explored and shot on location in Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Ireland, Canada and Iceland.
Gatto has received international awards and exhibited in major galleries worldwide including the Burke Museum Seattle, the National Theatre and the Natural History Museum in London.
