    This high quality print is based on a watercolour on paper entitled 'Galanthus caucasicus grandis, from Straffan, County Kildare' dated 15th March 1907 by E A Bowles. Bowles was a specialist in bulbous plants and developed a famous garden at his home Myddelton House, Enfield. A best-selling horticultural author, amateur artist and Vice President of the RHS from 1926-1954, Bowles was awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour by the Society in 1916.
