Abstract Art Prints 4965 items

Toward the end of the 19th Century artists began to break with the long established tradition of painting realistic reproductions of visual phenomena. This style of painting was rapidly developed around the beginning of the 20th Century, where any prominent painters in the Bauhaus School and Cubist artists emerged in Europe. These styles were further adapted, particularly by American artists, as Abstract Expressionism became the leading mid-century artistic movement. The style continues to be practiced, with artists still finding innovative ways to work in the style.
