This high quality print is based on an original watercolour by William Curtis produced for reproduction in Curtis's Botanical Magazine. William Curtis founded the magazine in 1787 after he left the Chelsea Physic Garden to establish his own botanic garden in Lambeth Marsh. The magazine continued under the same title until 1983.
