This work is about being immersed in cherry blossom and having glimpses of other people and of houses concealed and revealed by the blossom. The fragility and short life of cherry blossom is often seen as a metaphor for life and the opportunity to be under it, to look at and through it, is often highly valued. The original was a block print onto acrylic painted board, with some printed paper collaged elements.
