This work is about making connections, about one thing leading to another - perhaps a little about gazing at blossom and day-dreaming! It began with fragments of a woodcut of a hydrangea head and these were linked with other block prints of blossom and people. The orange shape refers to the glare of sun behind blossom and the square to the man-made environment as contrast to the natural blossom. The original was made of woodcut and relief prints on canvas and paper, with acrylic paint and mounted on board.
