Like loyal dogs the tractors wait on beach for the return of their masters. Cromer in Norfolk is famous for the Cromer Crab, which has proven to be an excellent source of income for the towns fishing fleet. Cromer has always served as a fishing port and at one time many fishing boats worked from Cromer all year round. Now the fishing fleet has dwindled down to about a dozen working boats concentrating on the Cromer Crab and Lobster catch mostly. In the summer, crab and lobster are plentiful just off the shores of Cromer's east beach, while herring is available in the autumn, and Cod can be caught during the winter months. The fishing boats still in operation sell their catch to the local Cromer fish stores that offer the fish, lobster and crab once they have been landed fresh from the boats.
