About this print

The Sultan Ahmed Mosque Turkish: Sultanahmet Camii the Blue Mosque it was built between 1609 and 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Istanbul.
Four minarets stand at the corners of the mosque. Each of these fluted, pencilshaped minarets has three balconies &7779;erefe with stalactite corbels, while the two others at the end of the forecourt only have two balconies.
