I had the misfortune to live in a social housing flat. The people downstairs were extremely noisy and banged doors all day, played musical instruments and players and came in and out at all times of day and night. The Environmental Health were virtually useless as the noise would always end by the time they came round. The housing association said that I didn't live and let live. I was suicidal.
