About this print

On the 29th October 1944, during the first battle of Courland, Sergeant Hermann Bix of the 1st Battalion, 35th Panzer Regiment was in the forefront of a counter attack alongside the 108th Grenadier Regiment near the Dzelzgaseskrogs crossroads. During a fierce engagement that lasted 7 hours, Bix, with his Panther and crew, destroyed 8 Soviet tanks. Original medium: oil on board
