This high quality print is based on a watercolour on board of a flower of Paphiopedilum (Cypripedium) × Baron Schroeder painted by the artist Nellie Roberts. This orchid was exhibited c.1898-1910 by Baron Sir Henry Schroeder (1824-1910), a benefactor of the RHS who was awarded the VMH in 1897. Nellie Roberts was appointed by the RHS in 1897 to paint Orchids. She was awarded the VMM in 1953.
