This high quality print is based on an engraved colour plate of fern Asplenium ruta-muraria (Wall-Rue, White Maiden-hair) by J.E. Sowerby from the book 'The Ferns of Great Britain' by Charles Johnson. Johnson was a fellow of the Linnean Society and Botanical Lecturer at Guys Hospital, London. Date: 1855.
