This high quality print is based on an engraved colour plate of fern Asplenium obovatum subsp. lanceolatum (lanceolate spleenwort) by J.E. Sowerby from the book 'The Ferns of Great Britain' by Charles Johnson. Johnson was a fellow of the Linnean Society and Botanical Lecturer at Guys Hospital, London. Date: 1855.
