Bown first photographed Bjork on assignment for the Observer magazine. The resulting series has since been published many times. This intriguing picture, which was used on the front of Bown's 2003 book 'Rock', allows the viewer to meet Bjork's familiar gaze while her hands retain an element of anonymity. Bown later said of this work: "She did all the work - I just monitored the light and took the pictures."
