Despite living for many years just a stones throw from some of the worlds most amazing beaches, I still found myself procrastinating about heading down to the water! I see this painting as an illustration of this dilemma, the beach lies just beyond the bamboo, as is the case in some places, but it just seems impossibleto get through. A metaphor for life if you like.
