About this print

This high quality print is based on a hand-coloured engraved plate entitled 'Veronica derwentia' by Henry Andrews from 'The Botanist's Repository, for New, and Rare Plants' published by Andrews between 1797-1812. Andrews was a botanical artist and engraver living in Knightsbridge, London. His published works also include books on Heaths and Geraniums. He was the son-in-law of John Kennedy (1759-1842) a partner at the Vineyard Nursery in Hammersmith who supplied plants to Empress Josephine.
