About this print

The Elgin Marbles at the British Museum, London, 22 June 1989. This reserved scene of a museum attendant guarding the Elgin Marbles was captured by Graham Turner, who appears to have stumbled upon the setting undisturbed and records the scene from a distance. The architectural members - originally part of the Acropolis - tower above their guard who sits peacefully to the left of the frame, unaware of Turner's lens.
