This high quality print is based on a colour printed lithograph of the parterre at Trentham Hall Gardens (seat of his Grace the Duke of Sutherland) published in Brooke's 'The Gardens of England', 1856-7. This illustration is from a more expensive edition in which the lithographs were finished by hand.
