Bjorn Borg, Wimbledon, London, c.1981. Award-winning sports photographer Eamonn McCabe photographed Bjorn Borg several times during his relatively short tennis career. Borg is seen here competing at Wimbledon shortly before his initial retirement. McCabe joined the Observer in 1976. He has also worked as a photographer for the Guardian and has covered three Olympics. In 1988 he became picture editor for the Guardian and went on to win Picture Editor of the Year six times.
