Shepherd, Cumbria, 1990. A long wave of sheep pass through a gate as their shepherd looks on patiently. This early morning scene was captured by Denis Thorpe during one of several trips he made to Cumbria with his camera. Thorpe, who is from Stockport, regularly photographs the north of England.
