About this print

This steam tug Samson was built in Hull in 1888, She came to the rescue of passengers and crew of the PSNC liner Oravia in 1912, in the Falkland Islands when the liner hit the Billy Rocks,just outside the entrance to Port Stanley, this painting is by Dee Jennings and is oil on canvas. In the background is the Lady Elizabeth.
