About this print

Schoolgirls from Katine primary school carry water in Katine village, 5 March 2009. Dan Chung's depiction of schoolgirls carrying water was taken shortly after the Guardian launched the Katine project. The appeal - in partnership with the African Medical and Research Foundation and Barclays - was part of a three-year project to improve the lives of Katine's 25,000 inhabitants.
