This high quality print is based on an original watercolour of the rose species entitled (on accompanying chromolithograph) Rosa indica var. grandiflora and described in accompanying text as Rosa chinensis var. grandiflora Hort., by Alfred Parsons (1847-1920). Produced for Ellen Wilmott's The Genus Rosa (London: 1914), and bound into Volume I of the Lindley Library's Willmott copy of this work. [Bound in with Plate 29].
