An elegant designer print of God Save the Queen. Commonly believed to be the official national anthem of the UK, it has been played, by tradition, since 1745. Surprisingly, it has not been decreed the official anthem. This print includes a number of standard verses and a slightly modernised fourth verse of William Hickson's alternative lyrics, written in 1836. This verse was included in the performance of the anthem at the hand-over to London at the Beijing Olympics. Verses have been added and deleted over the years, with the more militaristic ones falling out of favour. An 'Official Peace Version 1919' also exists. Part of a collection released to celebrate the 2012 Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, each print features the sparkling diamond-encrusted crown and is available in a choice of three decorator colours.
