I work in a studio in the woods in Boughton under Blean. My interests are the local woodland landscape illuminated by crepuscular moonlight and the traces left by past inhabitants. I constantly re-visit preferred sites, then re-work and re-order. Exploring beyond the evident I seek to reveal images as ciphers and signs of the unknown. “Pieces of memory to entice and beguile”.
I portray an inner landscape where we can experience a sense of rhythmic energy and vitality in observation, reminding us of where we have come from and our ultimate destiny.
