Modeste Herwig Art Prints and Posters
Modeste Herwig (1963) studied Dutch but could not resist following the footsteps of her father and grandfather. Love for plants and interest in garden architecture has always been present with her and she started gardening and taking pictures of plants when she was 15 years old. Her grandfather Arend Jan Herwig (1883) started writing about gardening, her father Rob Herwig (1935) is the world best seller author on gardening books with over 9 million copies sold. Modeste started with working for eight years in the model gardens of her father in Lunteren and also gave some 300 lectures about gardening. She made 30 books and made all the text and photos herself, she also works for magazines in Holland, England and Germany. Modeste travels a lot in Holland and abroad to photograph garden plants and new ideas on gardening design. Her photo library contains now some 100.000 pictures, everything clearly labelled.
