Born in 1948,Martin is self taught and has painted all his life,although early inclionations towards a career as an artist gave way to that in aviation.These years did allow him to continue developing his painting techniques style and provided generous inspiration on particular themes.Almost from the beginning,portraiture has been his abiding passion,but in recent times contemporary landscapes,beach scenes,sunsets etc. have become much sought after.Another interest has been transport related themes which can regularly be seen on Greetings cards etc.Having turned professional,this artist likes to remain flexible with regard to style and subject,but stays true the premise that whatever the painting it must give its owner pleasure.
