Joseph Wolfe Art Prints and Posters
Wolfe studied at The Antwerp Academy and then moved to London to work as an illustrator for Grayís Genera of Birds. Soon noted for his remarkable accuracy and for his skill as a draughtsman, he was then asked in 1849 to assist in the preparation of the great reference work, Birds of Britain.
Wolfe settled quickly into the London lifestyle and befriended many of the great artistic figures of the day, including Rossetti and Landseer. He died in London in 1899
