James Hardy Jr Art Prints and Posters
Born in 1832, James Hardy was the son of James Hardy, Snr. and the brother of Heywood and David Hardy.
He is best known for his pictures of dogs and game, which were very often set in Highland landscapes. He exhibited nine sporting paintings between 1862 and 1886 at the Royal Academy, eight at the British Institute, and forty-five at the Society of British Artists between 1853 and 1871. James Hardy died on April 4th 1889.
