Edwin Joseph Lowe Art Prints and Posters

Born in 1947, Graham Lowe was brought up in Middlesborough, in the north east of England. His family did not have a particularly artistic background, although his father practised photography as a hobby, which stimulated Graham Lowe as a child towards art subjects at school. After leaving school, he completed a three-year course at Blackpool College of Art and Design.

He now makes a highly successful living as a photographer and describes his work as "atmospheric photography, which attempts to convey always a sense of place". He usually employs traditional silver-based photography, although occasionally he uses older processes as well. He also occasionally applies photographic emulsion by hand to create a painterly effect.

He has exhibited his work at many locations, including at shows in New York and in the United Kingdom. An Associate Member of the British Institute of Professional Photography, Graham Lowe also enjoys a number of unusual hobbies, including the collection and restoration of Italian classic motorcycles and the collection of pinball machines. He also runs a group dedicated to the preservation and use of Triumph TR sports cars and he owns his own 1958 TRBA.
