I qualified to teach English and Art in 1973 and have taught since then. I have always painted and taken photographs, and have sold many landscapes. For a while, I had my own art studio in Barnard Castle, County Durham.
Newly retired from teaching English as a Foreign Language in Birmingham University, I am now concentrating on linking beautiful photographic images with great quotations from literature. I am also continuing to paint local landscapes in oils.
